Thunder Bay's 24/7 tow truck service
Total Towing provides towing in Thunder Bay 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are a family-owned towing company based on Hardisty Street in the city, and we run flatbeds and wheel-lift tow trucks around the clock. So when your car won't start in a parking lot on Memorial Avenue, slides into a snowbank on the Harbour Expressway, or quits on Highway 11/17 past the city limits, one call gets a truck moving toward you.
We give you the price before we dispatch, and that is the price you pay. When the roads are bad, dispatch tells you a realistic arrival time, not a hopeful one.
- Live dispatch 24/7, holidays included
- Upfront pricing, no hidden fees
- Senior and military discounts
- Family-owned in Thunder Bay since 2021

Built for Thunder Bay winters
Most of our work happens between November and April, when the city is cold, dark and slippery. Our trucks and operators are set up for it: frozen batteries at -35, cars in the ditch on Dawson Road, spinouts on the Thunder Bay Expressway, and whiteouts on Highway 17 heading toward Shuniah.
If you are stuck somewhere unsafe, stay in your vehicle with your hazards on and call (807) 374-1122. Tell dispatch your nearest cross street or highway kilometre marker and we will take it from there.
Why Thunder Bay drivers call Total Towing
We live and drive here too. We know which roads drift in, which hills ice up first, and how cold it gets waiting on the shoulder.
